Eleven finalists have been selected for the 2024 Seafood Excellence Awards, a competition taking place at Seafood Expo North America/Seafood Processing North America in Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A., taking place 10 to 12 March 2024.
The annual competition recognizes leadership in seafood product development in North America. Finalists will compete for two awards: Best New Foodservice Product and Best New Retail Product. The 2024 finalists were selected from a pool of 70 entries into the exposition’s New Product Showcase, and the winners will be announced at 3 p.m. on Sunday, 10 March by a panel of three seafood industry experts, who will base their judgments on a number of criteria, including uniqueness and appropriateness to the market, taste, packaging, nutritional value, and originality. All 70 new products submitted to the competition will be on display at the New Product Showcase in the Wave Makers Zone.

- Acme Smoked Fish - Lox in a Box
- Alaskan Leader Seafoods - 12oz Miso Marinated Wild Alaska Black Cod (Sablefish)
- American Unagi - American Unagi Smoked Eel Fillet 4 oz
- Channel Fish Processing - Sweet Heat Cornmeal Crunch North Atlantic Pollock
- East Coast Seafood - Sole with Shrimp & Snow Crab Stuffing
- Highland Farms - Salmon Salami
- Ocean Beauty Seafoods - Echo Falls Smoked Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon Nuggets
The Seafood Excellence Awards is the North American extension of the Seafood Excellence Global Awards competition, which takes place annually at the Seafood Expo Global in Barcelona, Spain. Both competitions, along with the Seafood Excellence Asia Awards, are hosted by Diversified Communications, the organizer of Seafood Expo North America/Seafood Processing North America, Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global, and Seafood Expo Asia in Singapore.
